Hi there! My name is Lily, and I’m a certified yoga teacher based in the South West of England: Bath, Bristol, and Bradford-on-Avon—wherever my houseboat takes me! I cruise the Kennet and Avon canal with my partner and soon, a baby.
My classes are dynamic and playful, allowing students to explore intuitive movement in a safe and light hearted environment. Whilst respecting tradition and honouring the roots of yoga, I like to bring in contemporary poetry and music into the space. I also love to honour pagan rituals which are deeply connected to this land and the seasons.
I first discovered yoga as a late teenager in Italy where it provided me with a profound sense of calm and connection, helping me to integrate the big emotions I was feeling at the time. This transformative experience inspired me to delve deeper into yoga. When I moved to the UK in 2012, my practice became an anchor, especially during university exam periods, allowing me to manage pressure and anxiety through breath, mindfulness, and movement.
I have always been drawn to dynamic practices like Vinyasa and Ashtanga, which help me focus and direct my energy. These practices continue to inspire me. After the lockdown, I decided to qualify as a yoga teacher and in 2022 I completed a one-year teacher training in Krama Vinyasa Yoga Tantra at Yogasara in Bristol, UK, with Sarah Harlow and Sam Burkey. This was a transformative experience, and I loved every moment of it!
Since then, I’ve pursued additional training, including Trauma Informed Yoga with the Bristol Roots Project and further training in hands-on assists and anatomy with Sarah Harlow. I am passionate about learning and continue to develop my practice through courses and self-study.
I teach at Yogasara in Bristol and run ad hoc Yoga and Sound healing sessions in Bradford-on-Avon. My passion for health and wellbeing has also led me to chair the Wellbeing Committee in my workplace, where I offer free corporate yoga and meditation sessions.
